2026 Scholarship Application College Student

The Award

The Stewart’s Federal Credit Union Scholarship awards one of two $750 scholarships to a member to help pay for their education.

Eligibility

The applicant must be a matriculated student attending a two- or four-ear accredited college or trade school.

The applicant must be a member in good standing of Stewart’s Federal Credit Union. If you are not already a member, contact the credit union to find out what is necessary to become a member!

Application Process

Eligible members must complete this scholarship application. The signed application must be submitted together with:

  • Transcript or grades from most recent schooling

  • Two official letters of reference

  • Essay (details listed below)

Essay Information

Please use a separate sheet of paper to respond to one of the following questions. Your response should be 300 to 500 words. Please type your responses. Points will be deducted if responses are not typed.

Questions (Please choose one):

  • Describe a time when you failed at something.  What did you learn from that experience, and how did it impact your future actions? 

  • Who is a role model that has influenced your values, and how have you applied those values to benefit others?

  • If you could solve one major problem in the world through your chosen field of study, what would it be and why?

Selection Process

Judging will be based on both subjective and objective criteria. These include academic performance, information contained in the references, and quality of the essay.
