Dormant Accounts

We value your membership at Stewart’s Federal Credit Union and hope you do too. To make the most of your membership, and avoid a dormant account fee, be sure to keep your account active. We apply a $5.00 per month fee on all accounts that have been inactive for a period of 12 months or more. To avoid a dormant account fee, simply make a deposit, transfer or withdrawal in person or by mail.

Unclaimed Funds

It’s important to keep your account active to prevent your funds from being sent to the New York State Comptroller for Unclaimed Funds. If an account does not have activity for 3 years it is required that all financial institutions send those funds to New York State. When an account is considered abandoned and the funds have been sent to NYS an Escheat Fee of $25.00 is applied to that account.

Any questions about your account please call us at ext. 581-581-1201 at 3900.

Credit Union Transition

As some of you know, I will be leaving at the end of this month.  Although my time here at Stewart’s Federal Credit Union has been short, it has been an incredible learning experience and I am very thankful for the skills I have acquired.  I will treasure the time spent servicing our members and cherish all the new friendships I have made.

Thank you to the Board of Directors and of course Angie, Sandy, Cindy, and Kaitlin.  Your support has not gone unnoticed.  My wish for everyone is for continued success and to feel fulfilled in all that you do!

That being said, my life change has given my predecessor the opportunity to grow.  Angie Lauder has been promoted to the Credit Union Manager.   With 17 years’ experience as a Credit Union Representative and Loan Officer, she will take the Credit Union to new places…LITERALLY!!

As of June 7, 2021, the Credit Union relocates the office just a few doors down.  New Manager along with a new office space shows the success of your Credit Union!

Please stop by to visit our new office.   We would love to see you!
