Scams, Scams and More Scams

Two recent scams that we are aware of. First one is a call from a bank (in this case Bank of America) saying your credit or debit card has been locked.  Dial one to be connected with our security department. Don’t do it! Instead, hang up and call the number on the back of your card.

Scam two. Have you ever seen a box come up on your computer saying that there are viruses on your computer and you should call this number so we can fix it? Well, its a scam.  Don’t do it.  Recently, a person was scammed out of about $2,700.
