Reissue of VISA Debit Card – Joint Accounts Only

Individual accounts with a VISA debit card will continue using their current card.  They are unaffected by this reissue and should continue to use their current card.

All members that currently have a VISA debit card joint account, will be receiving new cards in mid May. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BEGIN USING YOUR NEW CARD UNTIL MAY 29, 2013. MERCHANTS/ATMs WILL NOT ACCEPT YOUR OLD CARD AFTER MAY 29, 2013, SO PLEASE DESTROY YOUR OLD CARD OM MAY 29, 2013 BY CUTTING IT IN HALF.

The reissue is taking place due to an upgrade of our ATM system. All ATM transactions will be live. Effective May 29, 2013:

  • Your new VISA Debit Card will have a totally new look! It’s bright red, you can’t miss it!
  • All Credit and ATM authorizations will be immediately reflected in your available balance.  This will include credit and debit transactions.  Currently only credit transactions are immediately reflected in the available balance.
  • For all joint accounts each card will have a different card number.  This will make your card more secure.  In the case of a lost, stolen or fraudulent activity it will usually only effect one card.
  • Automatic payments using your VISA DEBIT CARD will have to be updated with the card number and expiration date.  This does not effect any payments using your routing number and checking account number.
  • For your convenience you will now be able to change your PIN to a number that you can more easily remember.  The instructions will be included with your PIN mailer.
